Hi Neighbors, September’s newsletter is coming a little early this month so I can get important information to you in time. This week, you’ll have the opportunity to use the community dumpster for those that need it, join us for the Considine groundbreaking with Santa Maria, and more. Community Dumpster and Public Services Blitz
During the week of September 14 – September 18, City Public Services crews are scheduled to be in our neighborhood.
This means:
1. 20 yard dumpster will be available on Brevier for you to dispose of junk. The dumpster will be available 24 hours a day and checked daily for overflow. Cincinnati Public Services will manage any overflow and emptying as needed.
2. EPHIA has funds to hire help for neighbors that do not have a truck or are physically unable to make things out to the curb. These spaces are limited, are prioritized by need basis, and are by appointment only. Please email qol@EPHIA.org or call/text 513-341-8430 .
If you have a neighbor that has a hoarding situation or messy yard, please share this information with them. We expect maintenance citations to increase from Buildings & Inspections soon and next summer, so we want to give everyone a heads-up and the help they need to get everything in order. |

Santa Maria's Considine Groundbreaking 9/17/2026 10a You're invited to the ground breaking. Community Budget Requests
Every two years, Cincinnati’s Community Councils can submit up to three priority projects for consideration in the City’s biennial budget. The Community Budget Request (CBR) process gives neighborhoods a direct way to advocate for improvements, with requests reviewed by City departments and considered through the City Manager’s proposed budget and City Council.
EPHIA’s Board and committees have been in constant communication with City departments and have several projects ready to pitch. The September 21, 2026 EPHIA meeting will be the final discussion and vote on this year’s Community Budget Requests before the City’s submission deadline.

Request 1 -Price Hill Health Center & Health Plex : EPHIA and the West Price Hill Community Council are jointly requesting investment in a new, full-service Price Hill health center. A modern, expanded health center would bring primary and specialty care closer to home, including medical care, prenatal and infant care, women’s health, dental services, and other essential health services. Price Hill residents should not have to leave their community to access the care they need. We all deserve convenient, quality health care right here at home.

Request 2 - Sidewalk & Crosswalk Improvements: EPHIA is requesting funding to complete key sidewalk gaps along Considine Avenue and Grand Avenue between Warsaw and Glenway. The request also includes marked crosswalks at Considine and Brevier, improving pedestrian access and safety near Glenway Park. |
Request 3 Option 1: Olden Tot Lot Repurposing: EPHIA is exploring the possibility of sunsetting the Olden Tot Lot and relocating its playground equipment to another Price Hill location. This would create an opportunity to rethink the site and invest in a recreational space that better serves the community.
Request 3 Option 2 - Dempsey Park Improvements : EPHIA is considering improvements at Dempsey Park, including a new walking path and upgrades to recreational equipment. These improvements would enhance an existing Price Hill park and expand opportunities for neighborhood recreation.

Community Highlights Rees E. Price Academy: Making School Arrival Safer
Getting students safely in and out of school takes a community effort. EPHIA recently helped Rees E. Price Academy connect with local business Baron Engraving to create new arrival and dismissal signs designed to improve traffic flow and safety.
EPHIA funds helped make this work possible, supporting the organization’s ability to respond to neighborhood needs and bring community partners together. The school now has 26 signs, including Spanish-language messaging, helping make drop-off and pickup clearer and less stressful for students, families, and staff.
It’s a great example of what your EPHIA membership helps make possible: neighbors, schools, and local businesses working together to improve Price Hill.

Sunrise yoga with live music, Crystal bowl sound bath, coffee and treats at Mt. Echo, followed by a Forest Therapy walk. It will be Saturday Sept 19 7am-9am, Mt Storm will host their event in the evening. We are hoping EPHIA members will join us and consider a donation for this popular biannual event.

Around the Table: A Neighborhood Restaurant in the Incline District Did you know Around the Table is a restaurant? Stop in for dinner Wednesday and Thursday from 4:30–9:00 PM, Friday from 5:30–10:00 PM, or Sunday Brunch from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM — with Saturday evenings coming soon! Come as a couple, meet a friend, gather the family, or simply stop in for a cocktail. Alongside regular dining, some evenings feature live music, special menus, and experiences like Crazy for You, presented in partnership with the Warsaw Theater. $1 from each reservation and $5 from each Crazy for You cocktail will go back to the theater, and theatergoers can make reservations timed to get them to the show. There’s no ticket required to enjoy Around the Table — just come for dinner. EPHIA Retreat
Nearly 45 past and present members and neighbors gathered for breakfast at our very own Around the Table to reconnect, welcome new faces, and reenergize our commitment to EPHIA and the Price Hill community. The morning was also an opportunity to hear from EPHIA President Amber Kassem, Don Johnson of the Business Alliance, and Greg Robinson, the hardest-working CDC director in the city, who spoke directly about the work happening across our community and the vision for its future.

Moonlight at Mt. Echo
Saturday, October 3rd, from 6 - 9 PM at Mt. Echo Park for a free evening of live big band music, dancing, food, drinks, and community under the stars. The Monday Night Big band Orchestra will perform live, with ballroom, Latin, and social dancing throughout the evening, plus special dance performances.
Enjoy food trucks, drinks available for purchase, and stunning Cincinnati skyline views from the Mt. Echo Pavilion. Bring your friends, family, and dancing shoes - everyone is welcome!
