September 15 Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order by President Michael Wigle at 7:45 p.m. at the Elberon United Methodist Church. Roll Call follows:

A quorum was established.

Minutes of the June 16, 2008 meeting were read and approved with correction. Motion of Blanche Underwood/Joe Carr carried.

Treasurer's Report presented by John Ridder:

Unfinished Business
Frank Hollister withdrew his tabled motion.

New Business
Patti Hogan presented an update on the Kroger Project for the Housing & Development Committee. Discussion followed.

Motion: D Boller/Wall moved that we stop the discussion. A two-thirds vote yielded 15 ayes; 16 nays. Motion failed.

Motion: Larry Barty/Jean Hollister moved that the Board be directed to withdraw its appeal against Kroger's. 6 Ayes; 19 nays. Motion failed.

Motion: Croft/Rothman To support the removal of the carriage house from the Moore-Knight house on Mt. Hope Ave. so that the owner can build a new garage. Motion carried.

Motion: Croft/P Ridder To support the re-zoning of 801 Mt. Hope from RMX to RN-07. Motion carried.

Announcements
Echoes in the Park will be held on September 30 from 7:00 10:00 p.m.

Citizens on Patrol will benefit from people dining at TGI Fridays on October 16. Friday's will donate 10% to the organization.

Make a Difference Day is October 25.

Everyone is urged to accept the challenge to become a board member.
