January 24 Meeting Minutes
The Board meeting of the General Assembly was called to order by President Michael Wigle at 7:38 p.m. at the Elberon United Methodist Church. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Board members present included:

A quorum was established.
Minutes of the December 17, 2007 meeting were read, corrected and approved as corrected with a motion from Bob Pessler seconded by Frank Hollister. Motion carried.
Treasurer's Report presented by John Ridder:
Beginning Balance: $11,752.70
Memberships: $210.00
Interest income: $ 9.54
Other Income $ 0.00
Subtotal $11,972.24
Less Expenses $ 1,583.00
Ending balance $10,389.24
The Treasurer's report was accepted as presented.
Membership:Ginger Boller. Two new members and two renewals.
From the President:
New Board members are as follows: Ginger Boller has accepted the Membership Officer position; Mary Croft and Patti Hogan will fill the two vacancies of Directors. The Vice President position is still open. If anyone would like to fill that position, contact Michael Wigle.
Police Report: Det. Joe Combs and Sgt. Eric Franz
Reported that there is a 19% reduction in serious crimes, but a 90% increase in copper thefts.
Officers Jennifer Dawson and Richard Smith will be the neighborhood liaison officers.
There are five cameras slated for the West Price Hill area. Still looking for funding for two cameras in the East Price Hill area; specifically from business along the Warsaw corridor.
Don's Deli is coming up for its liquor license renewal and an objection will be filed. The Club Embassy will be closing in March.
Court Watch: Patti Hogan
Sent an impact statement re: Joey Heaton who was in court on a B & E and also probation violation. He got several years jail time. Also, the man at the G&J Market was given probation.
Housing & Development: Mary Croft
John Schlagetter and Lester Freeman need a variance on their property at 2540 Warsaw and seeking EPHIA's support. The Board has agreed to support this variance. Their neighbors are also in agreement.
NSP Committee: Steve Klatte
Proposed Budget will be $7,000 from the city.
Steve Klatte moved, seconded by Bob Pessler that we increase the beautification fund; the Thanksgiving Day Parade; summer concerts. Also to include the streetscape at Price and Hawthorne; newsletter and insurance. Beautification includes Great American Cleanup, streetscape at Hawthorne and Price; Make a Difference Day, etc.
Residents only vote. Motion carried by 28 For; 0 Against; 0 abstentions.
All forms and reports have been submitted in a timely manner. All is current.
Audit Committee: All is in order and the work is completed. John Ridder was commended on his good work.
NEW BUSINESS
John Schlagetter will be working with Dan Boller on the flagpoles.
Anne Patty inquired as to whether the Newsletter could be on e-mail and not mailed. Following discussion, it was determined that unless someone specifically requests that it be on e-mail, it should be mailed. Ms. Swisshelm (who produces the newsletter) is looking for people with copy machines.
Tom Croft reported that the NBD (Neighborhood Business District) fund will be getting $10,000 from the city and is looking for suggestions for projects to use the money. He is looking for projects and stated that when suggesting a project, be prepared with the following:
The purpose
What is needed, i.e. volunteers; how it will get done
The results
Itemized budget.

Stacy Barnes with the Zoo Tax Levy will be here at the February meeting and will speak after the meeting.
Price Hill Will's annual meeting at Seton on Tuesday, January 25, at 6:30 p.m.
Neighborhood Summit dinner on February 16 and meetings on Saturday, February 17 at 8:30 a.m. till 3:30 p.m. at the Cintas Center.
