February 18 Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order by President Michael Wigle at 7:35 p.m. at the Elberon United Methodist Church. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call follows:

A quorum was established.
Minutes of the January 24, 2008 meeting were read and approved by motion of Bob Pessler/Tom Gamel.
Announcement followed that the Executive Board had elected Patti Hogan to serve as Vice President. Her Director's position is now open.

Communications Tom Gamel
Tom Gamel reported receiving checks from Warsaw Savings for $125.43; 5/3 Bank for $82.10; Invest in Neighborhoods for $3,446.54; and Cincinnati Bell Wireless for $3,500..00. These amounts are for interest, reimbursement and installation of flagpoles, respectively.
Other correspondence received is regarding buildings to be demolished.
Membership Report Ginger Boller
Five renewal memberships and one new member.
Police Report:
Presented by Capt. Frey.
Porn and DVD forgery were confiscated from Don's Deli. Their liquor license has been denied.
During the previous week, administrative search warrants were executed for housing violations on Grand and also the same owner's property on Mickey. The property on Grand was in terrible condition and also netted nine people on open warrants.
Another search was done at Curnans on W. 8th St. and bad conditions and violations were found there as well.
Still a lot of copper thefts, however since most of the houses are foreclosures, the banks holding the mortgages will not prosecute.
A warrant was also served on a Suire Ave. property where the conditions were bad and two pit bulls were removed from the premises.
They are still working on getting funding for cameras for East Price Hill.
Problem Properties Dan Boller
Four properties have been declared a public nuisance and are as follows: 1009 Underwood Pl.; 1026 Parkson; 2856 Sterrett Ave.; 970 Mansion Ave. Demolition will probably not be complete for six months.
Unfinished Business
Patti Hogan/Ken Rothman moved to send a letter to W. 8th St. Market reminding them that they agreed not to cause problems and there has been an incident of selling liquor to minors. Motion carried.
Beautification Committee: Looking for someone to chair this committee.
NSP Steve Klatte will be submitting a proposal at next month's meeting.
New Business:
Rick Robb of Hawthorne Ave. wants to buy the vacant property next to him or get it condemned, but is having difficulty getting some answers and results from city officials. Dan Boller agreed to help him resolve this situation.
Motion: Rosalie Pietras/Anne Patty moved to write a thank you letter to Ken Smith of Price Hill Will for offering to make copies of our newsletter. Motion carried.
Great American Cleanup Day: Patti Hogan announced it would be on April 26 and will be covering the areas of down the hills of Glenway and Warsaw. Volunteers will walk down the hill and be given rides back up the hill. Leaf blowers will also be needed to eliminate the dead leaves.
Dan Boller noted that Community Priority Requests are due April 4. Anyone that has any suggestions such as traffic concerns, curbs, etc. that the city provides, bring it up at the next meeting. He recommended getting the Police Dept. updated quarters.
Announcements
Rosalie Pietras inquired as to whether we could get stop signs at the intersection of Grand and Lehman. Capt. Frey said she will call Traffic Engineering to have them come out and do a study.
Tim Kraus of the Cincinnati Teachers Union and Thayne Maynard of the Cincinnati Zoo were introduced. They will each give a presentation to the assembly after the meeting is adjourned.
Price Hill Will James Bascomb, Housing and Development Director advised that there are 12 properties that should be finished within the next four six months.
Price Hill Historical Society will be here at the next meeting to give a short presentation.
Jim Turner announced that Everybody's Backyard picnic and concert would be on June 12.
